Tool Update: File Upload Supports More Distributors

August 6, 2020

We're happy to let you know RootNote's file upload tool now supports a growing list of distributors and other platforms.

To use it, all you need to do is drag over the CSV files you download from your distributor. If you use DistroKid, there's only one file they update every month. If you use CD Baby or TuneCore, there's a new file every month, so you'll need to drag in past statements. But you can drag in multiple files at once, so it's not too painful.

We also plan on incorporating more and more distributors into the File Upload Tool in the near future. RootNOte also currently supports automatic revenue imports for RootNote users who use Symphonic Distribution and Repost to send their music out to the world.

And of course, RootNote can also pull in your data from ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SongTrust, and SoundExchange. Make sure you plug those accounts in if you've got them!

We'll also be working on some updates in the very near future to help remind you to track your revenue data once you import statements. The more complete picture of your money RootNote has, the better its tools are.

In addition to the File Upload Tool update, we recently launched weekly email updates to help give you an overview of your progress from the past week. Let us know what you think by leaving some feedback in RootNote!
