CODa Helps Creators

Save Time and Make Money

We're RootNote — a team of artists, creatives, developers, consultants, and more. We're building CODa, a first-of-its-kind web app designed to help musicians and other creatives take control of their career.

What Does CODa Do Right Now?

Tracks growth on social media platforms, streaming services, and more.

Automatically pulls in PRO payment info and allows users to import distribution statements to better understand their money.

Provides tools to do things like manage tasks, explore funding options, and more.

Freemium Pricing Model

Free Product

All users can create free CODa profiles to use basic tools and start tracking their data. This helps us continuously develop better creator-specific insights. We also have affiliate relationships with several partners that allow us to still provide additional value to free users while leveraging their potential interests in partner platforms.

Paid Premium

CODa Premium features advanced tools and analytics for a low monthly fee (~$15/month). In addition to providing analytics and insights specifically unique to CODa, Premium is designed to save creatives money by providing many of the tools they're otherwise paying for without adding all the fluff they don't need.

CODa Pro

(Private Beta)

CODa Pro is designed for companies and managers who work with anywhere from 2 to 25 artists. It features multiple premium accounts with a tiered pricing structure (~$50/month plus additional amounts per Premium account) as well as a centralized Pro hub that allows primary users to track all their artists and use the tools from one place.

An estimated 30+ million content creators are monetizing digital content, in the U.S. alone. The creative economy is growing at double digit pace. Technological innovation over the past two decades has made the creator economy both incredibly accessible and insanely complex.

CODa Public Beta

CODa is a platform designed for creatives to take more control of their careers. It's designed to help artists track all of their important data in one place, including social media info, music streaming info, and money they're making from their music business. Then, CODa helps users take action with its one-of-a-kind Tool Box section.

CODa is currently in beta mode, which means we're constantly improving and expanding it every day.

Some of the things you can do in CODa Beta

  • Track social media metrics from places like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and more. Also track Mailchimp subscribers, YouTube subscribers, Twitch Followers and Views, and other important data points.
  • Track and compare streams from places like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Pandora. Our analytics section will provide cumulative data and insights that no other platform does. More services also coming soon!
  • Connect PRO and SoundExchange accounts to automatically track the money made from these platforms. Users can also bring in distribution statements and add money manually to help them get a full picture of what they're making.
  • Use the Tool Box section to do things like create and complete a To-Do List. "Explore Funding" to learn more about types of money that may be available to artists to help grow their career, from catalog sales to royalty licensing and more. Users can even get a free estimate to see how much The Music Fund will give them to license their streaming royalties for a short period of time.
  • Read through a growing list of short, helpful, and fun articles to learn more about things that might pertain to their music career
  • Get weekly updates on numbers

Where are we going with this?

We are rapidly developing CODa to include new tools, insights, features, integrations, and more. Our early focus is musicians, but we have our sights set on solving this problem for all kinds of digital creators.

CODa isn't just about data and actionable insights. It's about opening up the creator economy to existing and emerging financial opportunities.
